Here's are my reasons for my current choices. I chose to switch to full frame (FX) for the better dynamic range and noise performance in low light conditions. What made my decision final was the great deal Nikon offered in December 2012, which was the D600, the 24-85mm lens, and a few extra goodies for under $2000. The D600 is more than enough camera for me. I decided to keep my D7000 as a backup. I considered selling it and getting a used D3200, but the lack of features on the D3200 would probably leave me wanting more. The Fuji X10 is my carry around camera. I take it everywhere I go. I bought the Nikon V1 exclusively because of it's 2.7x crop factor. Again, the huge discount Nikon was offering made my decision final. The V1 with the FT1 adaptor attached is about the same size as the SB-800 flash, so carrying it in my bag is no problem. I use the V1 with my Nikon 70-300mm VR which makes it a competent 189-810mm lens.
