Cormorant
- when photographing wildlife your subject
usually doesn't cooperate with you. More often
than not you have to wait for the animal to
appear in the open, face the right direction,
and position itself where it will make an
interesting photo. But if you're lucky you can
find certain hot spots which make for great
photographic opportunites. There's a pond in my
town which attracts a lot of wildlife. There are
several clusters of rocks where the water fowl
sun and preen themselves. Other than the feet
being hidden behind the rock, this cormorant
posed perfectly for me. Taken with a Nikon
D80, Sigma 80-400mm OS, @400mm, aperture f/5.6,
shutter speed 1/320s, ISO 250. |
